Questions

A few answers before you write.

01How do I sign in as a client?

01Choose Sign in and create an account with your email address. Then sign in with that same address. Open Wills and estates, prepare the will or the transfer, and save the matter. The draft stays in your vault until you send it to the firm. Sign out when you are finished.

02Where does a saved matter go?

02It sits in your vault. Until you send it, only you can see it. Once it is sent, an attorney of the firm can take the file, and any letter that comes back appears in the same place.

03Can I remove something I have saved?

03Yes, if it is still a draft. Work you have already sent stays on the file. It is not deleted from your side.

04What work does the firm take?

04Tax in the deal, conveyancing, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, immigration, exchange control, and wills and estates. The full list is under Expertise.

05Are the calculators a final figure?

05No. Transfer duty, estate duty, capital gains and bond costs are estimates on the current tables. They are not advice, and they are not an assessment.

06Does saving a living will make it valid?

06No. The short form and the full form are drafts. A living will, like a last will, is valid only once it is signed as the law requires. The office can arrange that.

07How do I ask for a meeting?

07Use Contact us. You can request a call, a visit at 35 on Rose, or a video sitting, and name a time. For a file that must open today, telephone or email the office.

08Can I read the site in another language?

08Yes. The language control at the top of the page switches between English, Afrikaans and German.
